Justice for Breakfast discussion series
May 13, 2015 ~ 8:15 am
2014 was a banner year for the civil right to counsel movement. It saw new constitutional rights to counsel in Hawaii, Indiana, Massachusetts, and Montana, coverage from the New York Times and Newsweek, exciting housing right to counsel legislation in New York City, and our new interactive website showing the status of right to counsel across the country. Yet there is a long way to go as we strive to establish a right to counsel in basic human needs cases such as shelter, safety, sustenance, health, and child custody. Come learn what role the Public Justice Center plays in all of this. Hear about major achievements in 2014, as well as what we’ve got cooking in 2015 for Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Wisconsin, and elsewhere. You’ll also get a glimpse of our dynamic new website!
